Two Poems (taken from letters to friends)
I do hope all is well with you.
How are you finding the painting of walls?
Have you had enough of the city, and its shallow nightlife, which parades as if it is the highest of sophistication on all of the east coast?
I do not envy you, and I dare reveal that I have taken to saying nightly prayers to various deities within a variety of faiths in an effort that such supplication will save your soul from the lifestyle dregs of Manhattan
It has been quite unseasonably hot these past few days here in London.
I have been unable to concentrate and the heat causes me a suffering that is rooted in the core of my being and impinged upon by my certain constitution and present day dilemma.
The high temperatures have done much to eliminate the amount of clothing, which the women typically wear here in London and such an effect has been certain in making my efforts at implementing study a much more difficult task than it already is.
